| dec 29 2009 | | Home Land Screwup. | Well there we have it. Just like the aftermath of Katrina where billions were given to corporations but the people got nothing we have another example of government cock-up. On Christmas day a man got on a plane and tried to blow his leg up. After spending billions of dollars on expensive electronic screening equipment, causing huge amounts of inconvenience, making long line ups and delays, employing thousands of minimum wage cretins to irritate you, making you take your shoes off, throw away your bottles water and cosmetics, have ignorant immigration gestapo interrogate you and basically make the prospect of flying a nightmare for all but the most foolhardy, they failed.
Yes folks the system in place does not make flying safer, it is there to keep you terrified and grateful for whatever foolishness your government gives you.
Well here is my idea. It is cheap, foolproof and sweeps aside government interference. Airlines should require that all passengers fly naked. This eliminates the need for expensive electronic machines, you can sack all those useless employees, in fact the less people around the better people will like it. Out of consideration the flight crew should join in. In operation you would remove all your clothes as you go through security, to be renamed Dept of Nudity. These would be returned to you at you point of destination.
Some restriction would need to be put in place. No more pat downs. No hot drinks to served on flights. Moving around the plane requires you wait for a gap so you don't have to squeeze past other passengers. The safety briefing would include a caution to warm the clasp of your seat-belt before fastening. Bending at the waist to pick up any dropped object to be avoided. A pair of Crocs would be available for use in the toilet so you don't have to paddle in pee.
Or you just avoid American carriers.

| | dec 03 2009 | | 4 Ages of Man. | The life of a man can be compared to a fire. If you assume there is a finite fuel source then the length of time the fire will last is determined by outside elements. We all have a finite supply of fuel and it will run out. Some people desperately try to hang onto life thinking they can avoid death. This is foolishness.
Like our life the fire starts with a spark. Whether it ignites depends very much on the conditions at the time. If it's too wet, too windy, too cold, etc it ain't going to happen. Even if the spark takes those early moments are crucial as the flame precariously hangs in the balance. If the conditions are right and the fuel is fed at the right size at the right time the fire consolidates.
As more fuel is added the fire reacts like a youth. Lots of energy and heat. Dancing flames shoot up energetically and wastefully. Lots of noise, crackling and sparking. A greed and a hunger to grow bigger. An urgency to expand and fill a bigger space. Fires like this can get out of control.
As with middle age the more mature fire has reached a comforting stage where it gives the maximum productivity for the minimum amount of energy. This is a fire that gives cheer with no chance of flaring up and scorching you.
Finally the fire reaches old age and all that's left are the embers. These can burn for a considerable time although best left without continual poking. I find that particularly irritating. Sometimes the embers burn down quickly and are gone. Again it all depends on the conditions around the fire.
So protect your fire and understand that it is there to light and warm those around you. Don't squander your fuel on a display of brilliance to impress, or be miserly so you are constantly in danger of being snuffed out. Be aware that it can rain and that we have no control over the elements. Come on baby light my fire.

| | nov 03 2009 | | Fortress America. | America has turned into a fortress. The only question is it to control the people coming in or those leaving. As one of only two countries in the world that make their citizens pay tax to the IRS no matter where in the world they work or how long they stay there, the control is all persuasive.
Anyway back to my experience during the period over the end of October and beginning of November. I had never had the slightest interest in travel to the States and as the conditions there worsened my conviction strengthened. However, due to someone making travel plans on my behalf I found myself booked to travel from Canada to England via Newark airport. Well only a stop over, I told myself, just a few hours on American soil.
Well wrong, actually as the US departure lounge at Halifax airport is under American jurisdiction. My first contact with the Immigration officer set the tone for the entire experience. Rude, aggressive, intimidating and this from a female agent. They must be trained not to smile, make conversation or be helpful. Straight out of the gate I was reprimanded for not completing some procedure on-line. I was told that I could be fined and the airline could be fined for this infringement. I hadn’t been if front of the individual for more than a minute and already I was a felon. My protestation that I had never heard of it and that was why I hadn’t complied; only got me a searing blast of officialdom speak. Luckily she must have had her quota of travellers to be shipped to Guantanamo, as I was flung an explanatory sheet and told to fill it in on-line when I have got through security. In a pique of defiance I never did go on-line and fill it in as when I looked there was a forty odd dollar charge for this privilege.
Next I was finger printed and photographed. Whether this makes you fell safer flying or you don’t care about your civil liberties, I found it incredible that I was subjected to this with no just cause. What is the point of passports and travel documents? There was another race that had a similar obsession with records, they also had a perchance for invading countries.
On the way back through Newark the experience was no better. Finger printed and photographed again. As if they had a faulty database that they couldn’t rely on. More immigration officers that had completed the Waffen SS training course and passed with flying colours. It is easy to see why Americans have trouble with their police forces. Videos of police beating their citizens are all over YouTube. Police forces that look more like the military with armoured cars and military equipment. Whose citizens are they going to be deployed against? Demonstrations no matter how peaceful, brutally broken up with individuals rounded up and arrested, only to be freed later with no charges placed against them.
America is no more secure for all this tyranny. Creating a police state does not protect the citizens. Their whole belief system is screwed up. Invading poor countries and brutally killing men, women and children doesn’t make America safer.
The conclusion of my trip was lining up at Canadian immigration and telling my experience of American immigration officers to the agent as he checked my passport. He laughed and said to me ‘welcome home.’ What a wonderful country Canada is. We must take nothing for granted or just like the Americans bit by bit, small parts of your rights are taken away until there is nothing left. Be vigilant of retaining our liberties and way of life and distrust any scoundrel that tells you to give him your rights so he can protect you better.

| | oct 08 2009 | | America the Marxist Economy. | It is indeed ironic that Americans who espouses that they are the greatest capitalist economy in the world should have almost completed it's transformation into a Marxist economy.
Even more ironic that at the same time the last remaining communist country, China should be liberalising into a capitalist economy.
We have to face the fact that the American economy is now a planned economy. As in any communist country the government works hand in glove with the oligarchs of the banking and defense industries to legislate to their advantage. In return industry buys the politicians through campaign contributions and bribes from lobbyists.
The public buying of bad debt from the financial industry, cash for clunkers, first time home buyers allowance, etc are all signs of a managed economy. Doomed to failure as all managed economies stifle innovation, starve out privately run efficient companies, encourage zombie companies to keep walking.
The health care reform is another example of the government, in collusion with the insurance and pharmaceutical industries, creating and managing another huge budget burning scheme. Carbon credit market will create trillions of dollars in derivatives to hang like a sword waiting to destroy the economy.
As happened in the final days in Russia, the elites and politicians are accelerating the looting of the country they have no loyalty to, until everything finally collapses in ruins and they call in the troops to suppress the masses. It is no co-incidence that the army has been abroad practicing urban warfare for the last few years. Road blocks, house to house searches, closing off whole cities and then cleansing them, kicking in doors in the middle of the night to find agitators, all these techniques would come in handy if desperate people in Detroit or East Los Angeles should create problems.
No wonder the Chinese students jeered Timmy Geitner when he tried to claim America had a strong dollar policy. Americans might believe that clap-trap but any educated person sees it for the false-hood it is. Look at the numbers, if that has been Americas policy then it has been an abject failure since 1913.

| | sep 13 2009 | | We are taking our gold home. | So Germany and China want their gold back. Both countries want the bullion returned within their borders and hence direct control. There can be only one reason for this. Gold is the ultimate form of insurance. Is does not work if your insurance is outside your realm of control. It negates the whole principle. Just like when a home owner calls the insurance company to report a loss and they announce the policy does not cover that event. The home owner had insurance but he sure as hell isn't getting a remedy to his loss. He paid his premiums, he thought he was covered but he does not have control. The insurance company does.
So the question isn't why they are doing this but why now. Why do they consider it a prudent course of action now? After all, their gold has been securely held in a foreign country for decades with no problem. The answer is the world has entered a disturbing phase and Germany and China want to know they have complete sovereign control of the only asset that will have any chance of saving a countries' economy in the future.
A plausible scenario exists for both cases. In the case of Germany there is every likelihood that the European Union disintegrates and the Euro is discarded as the individual nations readopt their own currencies. There are huge pressures being exerted on this fragile artificial entity. We will await the outcome of this experiment. In the case of China it has already indicated in may condone the default of derivative contracts entered into by the State Owned Enterprises. These SEO's could walk from their derivative contracts causing catastrophe to Goldman Sachs, J P Morgan and the other western bank that hold them. The last thing they would want is for any country to be able to freeze their assets, particularly their gold while it goes through the courts. The Chinese have a fifty year plan to economically flattening America and they are well on the way of achieving it.
So gold at a thousand looks cheap. The Chinese have said they are diversifying out of Dollars and wish to purchase gold without roiling the market. This 'Chinese Put' effectively puts a floor in at a thousand dollars an ounce for gold. They would only have to hint they were making a major purchase for this small market to go to the moon, just as that numpty Gordan Brown did in reverse when he announced ahead of time that Britain was selling half of it's gold reserves and created Brown's Bottom. Traitor.
The market will get very volatile so hold onto your core holding but look for opportunities to trade the moves.

“The bank has raised the possibility that there is a danger that somebody who knew how to use this program could use it to manipulate markets in unfair ways,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Facciponti said. Source Bloomberg.com
So there you have it, a simple admission of what everyone has known for a long time. Where are the regulators? Are they going to be prosecuted?
Obviously the US government are paid off and collude to enable this against the interests of the people.

| | jul 02 2009 | | Gold Trading Ranges. | Looking at broad averages the long term chart shows the following.
Between Dec '04 and Sep '05 gold traded at an average $450/oz.
It then surged up until May '06 with a 44% gain.
Between May '06 until Sep '07 gold traded at an average $650/oz.
It then surged up until Mar '08 with a 38% gain.
Between Mar '08 until now gold is trading at an average $900/oz.
The next leg up at an average 40% takes us to $1260/oz.
Despite huge interference in the market by the Plunge Protection Team I can see nothing fundamentally that can stop the continued rise.
We are getting greater volatility which allows for selective trading but hold and increase your core position at all times.
Are you ready?

| | jun 28 2009 | | Dollar Crash? | By all fundamental indicators the dollar should be in the toilet. I have been warning that because of the prolifragate US economic policy they, like a lot of western nations are driving their countries off a cliff. Watching what has unfolded in the last few months I am revising my time scale but not my conclusion.
Ben Bernanke is doing as he promised and inventing money. The Fed has a monopoly to invent money which they do to provide for government spending. However, he is now ‘making’ money to buy up the debt that foreigners are no longer comfortable buying. They have enough and are watching it get inflated away at a fast pace. The new policy of Quantative Easing is a euphemism for buying the debt you create with pretend money that you create. Nice game if you can get in on it.
Therefore, it is my contention that as Ben can produce a trillion a month for as long as the Ponzi scheme runs, he can delay the crash in the dollar. But as soon as someone notices that the Emperor has no cloths, and the bigger the holder of debt the less they want to acknowledge naked Ben, then the whole scam comes crashing down. I think we can go on for a year or three, which gets us nicely to 2012 but that’s another story.
So they can manage the value of the dollar down to a devalued rate that lessens the overall debt obligations but only by actions that guarantee a worse result than if they had the back-bone to address the mal-investment now.
Ignore the short term noise of the market and accumulate gold.

| | may 06 2009 | | The Last Bubble. | The people that brought you the Dotcom Bubble and refused to allow a normal correction but instead facilitated the Japanese carry trade to flood liquidity into the Housing Bubble are at it again. The government of America with few exceptions are bought and paid for by the owners of Wall Street. With three lobbyists paid for by Wall Street, to every Congressman, the bank owners have bought a government. The American Empire is now a model Fascist Business entity. Their stooges have removed all regulation and over sight and are in the process of giving all regulation over to the Federal Reserve which is a cadre of private international bankers. Americans slept while their country was taken without a shot being fired. The Constitution exists only as museum relic in Fort Knox.
The last Bubble, the Mother of all Bubbles is now being inflated. Having brought the workers to a state of penury, who are no longer able to consume due to being buried by mortgage debt, home equity debt, credit card debt, student loan debt, etc. The next stage, which started with the meagerly $700 billion bail out, is to drop the hundreds of trillions of dollars of bad derivative bets onto the tax payers, by a compliant government. Tax revenues for all time will be owed directly to the international bankers. There will be no money for social security, pensions, health care or any of those other unproductive hand outs. And it's not just America, it is happening all over the western world. We are F***ed.
China and Russia and their sphere of influence will come out of this winners.
I know what would alleviate our problems. How about another world war, that would sure get the economies of the world humming? Or what about hyper-inflation? Inflating our way out of debt has worked in the past. Punishing interest rates end up being administered eventually but then either way the patient is DOA.

| | apr 01 2009 | | American Foreign Policy Failure. | Taken over the long term American Foreign Policy has been a disaster for America. It may have been a success for some vested interests but the cost in human life, devastated countries and destroyed economies, patently screams of injustice.
The latest brain fart of sending drones to massacre wedding parties in the hills of Pakistan could well result in an Islamic take-over of Pakistan, a nuclear armed country. Great idea.
Whether it is the military invasion and take over of Hawaii in 1898, ousting the democratic government of Iran in 1953 or the disaster of Vietnam in the '60's America has been driven to put it's army behind every dumb business expansion or Pentagon inspired fear fest.
Although some of these episodes appear to be so obviously contrary to America's continuing peaceful existence not to mention it's standing in the international community, nevertheless those that drive the policy gain unimaginable wealth, with a sidebar of perverse pleasure.
The Zionist lobby within the White House is so strong that America's Foreign Policy can be considered under direct control of Israel. Every contender for the Presidency was seen to court the Jewish vote disproportionately over all other interest groups, and there were many. Extreme rabid evanglicalism is on board and provoke trouble as their perverted vision is to accelerate conflict in the Middle East bacause they believe it will result in the second coming. Make no mistake these 'Christians' do follow Christ's teaching to remain outside of the political world.
American policy has resulted in other western governments become subservient to America's wishes, whether it be in illegal wars that were not even declared as wars, or toadying into agreeing to sanctions on any countries that America decides are a threat. Again the cost is in lives as the sanctions bite and children die, prior to invasion when the looting by America begins.
How is it working so far? Well a few people have got wealth beyond our comprehension. So what that America is hated by peoples around the world. So what that the average American is afraid to travel abroad. So what that the average American believes foreigners are about to come and murder them in their beds. Just like the commies were going to.
In the mean time, in the name of free trade and globalism, the few has sent the jobs of the many overseas where the few can get a bigger profit by exploiting the foreign labour. And the army is ready if the locals resist this. Meanwhile the tent cities expand across America as the people pay the price. Numbers receiving food stamps is escalating. No relief for them like the poor bankers.
Unfortunately, as an empire dies it's final death throws usually consist of foreign wars in a last desperate attempt to deflect dissatisfaction at home and as a stimulant to the economy. Both fail of course but at a huge cost of life. When the troops do come home it will be to quell the uprising of the disenfranchised.
World War Three has started, we haven't noticed because it is being waged in some elses backyard.
