| sep 12 3006 | | Product Description. | So I was in the shower this morning and reached for the body wash. Unusually for me, this morning I noticed the name of the product. I was about to use High Endurance body wash. This struck me as odd. Why would they call it High Endurance? Is it because the product lasts a long time? Or is it because it will survive a High Endurance day on your body?
I would associate High Endurance with a triathlon, maybe moving up to an Extreme Endurance for a trip up Everest. For me just plain Endurance would be way more than I need. In fact anyone that knows me would probably suggest a Low Endurance product.
In the old days you had products like Wash ‘n’ Go, perfectly adequate for the modern lifestyle. The less active amongst us could probably get away with Wash ‘n’ Linger a While.
Why do marketing types feel it necessary to come up with these outlandish names? In the first place I don’t normally notice them but if I did it wouldn’t influence my buying decision.
Does anyone remember the old Brut adverts? That product didn’t produce the advertised results either.
